Why has the war affected airplanes and other countries?

When countries are fighting a war, the sky above them can become very dangerous. During the conflict between Israel, Iran, and the United States, many missiles and drones were launched through the air. Fighter jets were also flying across the region to carry out military missions.

Because of this, many countries in the Middle East began closing parts of their airspace. Airspace is the part of the sky where airplanes normally fly.

The map helps show how many countries are located close to Israel and Iran. Nearby countries include Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Because these countries are close to the conflict, missiles or military aircraft can sometimes pass near their airspace.

To keep passengers safe, many airlines quickly changed their flight routes. Instead of flying directly across the Middle East, some airplanes had to travel longer paths around the region. Some flights were delayed or cancelled, and airports increased security.

One famous place affected by the situation is Dubai, a city in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai is one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations. Millions of visitors travel there every year to see its tall buildings, shopping malls, and beaches. During the conflict, one missile strike damaged part of the area near the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The incident shocked many people because the building is one of the most famous landmarks in the city.

News of the strike caused panic among some tourists and residents. Many people rushed back to their hotels or tried to contact their families to tell them they were safe. Because some flights were delayed or cancelled, many travelers became stuck in Dubai while waiting for new flights.

To help the stranded visitors, the government and airlines in the United Arab Emirates worked together to support travelers. Some passengers were offered free hotel stays and assistance while they waited for their flights to be rearranged. Other countries in the region also strengthened their air defence systems in case missiles entered their airspace.

Because the Middle East is an important region for travel, trade, and energy, the conflict quickly became something the whole world was watching. Many leaders around the world are now hoping the fighting will stop and that peace talks can begin, so that travel and life in the region can return to normal.
